Idaho Horticulture Month Marketing Kit
Idaho Horticulture Month Marketing Kit
Governor Little has proclaimed May as Idaho Horticulture Month. The inaugural proclamation recognizes the impact that horticulture has on Idaho’s economy, environment and over all quality of life.
We are observing this growing season with our Annual Horticulture Marketing Campaign from April through Mid-June to increase consumer awareness of locally available nursery products. This year we are incorporating a Governor’s Proclamation in May to identify a Idaho Horticulture Month, with the tag line of, “Let’s Grow Local, Idaho!” to promote and connect local nursery greenhouse growers, garden centers, and retailers with shoppers and help you grow your marketplace. Idaho Preferred provides the tools and resources to help nursery and greenhouse growers take advantage of the coordinated campaign effort and properly market their business during the growing season.
Did you know Idaho horticulture…
–Contributes nearly $1Billion to the state’s economy.
–Creates nearly 14,500 jobs annually.
–Enhances Idaho’s air quality and contributes to habitats for Idaho wildlife while also beautifying personal and public property for enjoyment by Idaho residents and visitors.

For this year’s promotion, we have launched the Idaho Preferred Horticulture Member Directory and search engine. In addition to being a directory and search engine, this page includes horticultural, gardening and planting resources for consumers and horticulture businesses alike. As we run our promotions through both digital and traditional outlets we will be redirecting traffic to the Idaho Preferred Nursery Directory to encourage consumers to find local nurseries, greenhouses, and retailers near them for their purchasing needs.
Your Directory Profile is your selling platform and you will want to make sure it is updated with visuals and descriptions to help share your story and what you do.
