Introducing Bare Beans: with more convenience than a can
Founded in 2018 by Michelle Huff, Bare Beans was born from a desire to bring new value to her family’s farm. After spending 17 years in the Fresh Produce industry, Michelle recognized a growing demand for value-added food products. With her husband raising beans for years, beans were a natural choice for innovation.

Michelle’s vision began with a simple question: “What do I like and dislike about beans, and how can I make them better?” From there, Bare Beans was created.
Michelle is originally from Minnesota, with family roots in North Dakota. As an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, she takes pride in her Indigenous heritage. In 2003, she moved to Idaho and married Robert Huff, a fourth-generation farmer. Today, the couple and their two sons, who are actively involved in the business, work together to build the future of Bare Beans.
Non-GMO Promise
Bare Beans is on a mission to transform how consumers think about beans. With a commitment to transparency, the company produces high-quality beans grown on Idaho farms, and uniquely packaged for the produce aisle with no other ingredients than water.
Bare Beans never uses genetically modified ingredients in any of its products. Dried beans have naturally been non-GMO for centuries, and the company is dedicated to keeping it that way.
