Governor Little has proclaimed August Idaho Farmers Market Month. Here are Idaho Preferred’s tools and resources to help market managers, vendors and shoppers take part in the month-long festivities!
Idaho Preferred is celebrating its 20th anniversary of supporting and connecting producers around the state and this year, we wanted to go big for farmers markets! We are excited to help promote over 56 community farmers markets around the state and serve as your promotional partner.
Your Idaho Preferred Farmers Market Month Marketing Kit: Totes, Buttons & Signs
Idaho Preferred provides farmers markets across the state with tools and resources to help raise awareness about the importance of farmers markets to our state’s overall quality of life. This marketing kit contains 30 blue farmers market shopping totes, 50 buttons, and Idaho Preferred signage to display at your market booths.
The totes can be distributed to the first 30 customers who visit your market during Idaho Farmers Market Month. Start posting about these totes on social media or in your market newsletter as a way to encourage consumers to show up early! (When you post to social media, be sure to tag us @idahopreferred!)
Buttons are a great giveaway when encouraging sign-ups for your newsletter! You could also pass the buttons along to let vendors use them as “add-ons” when a consumer buys over a certain dollar amount or product.
The tabletop signs are intended to show your pride in being part of the local agriculture community as an Idaho Preferred Member. When visitors scan the QR Code on the sign, they’ll be directed to the Idaho Preferred website with information about local produce and agritourism experiences throughout the state.

Idaho Preferred will boost the following video on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to help spread awareness. Be sure to like, comment and share across your social media platforms to increase our reach and let people all across our beautiful state know how to find their community farmers markets!
