Taste The Estate at Huston Vineyards
Ever wondered about what makes a small vineyard operation tick? Have you thought about the soils and what grows well in Idaho and what the winemaking process looks like? Interested in tasting Estate Wines from a library paired with artisan crafted cheeses?
Our Taste the Estate event begins with a morning toast of wine with a blend of two Estate varietals followed by a vineyard tour with the guy that planted and farms the vines, Joshua Alger. The guided tour discusses two vineyard blocks and the varietals grown as well as a discussion of the growing stages of the grapes including the current stage.
After the vineyard tour, guests will join winemaker Jacob Alger in the Production Facility for a discussion of varietals that grow well on the Estate and have the opportunity to taste a few choice varietals from the barrel.
Finally a curated tasting of Huston varietals paired with artisan crafted cheeses led by Gregg and Mary Alger will complete the experience.
