Community Supported Agriculture
Long before subscription food boxes became popular, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has been a convenient way for Idahoans to get more farm-fresh foods into their diets.
Idaho community SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a direct relationship between farmers, ranchers, and consumers, providing a convenient way to access fresh, locally grown food. When you subscribe to a CSA, you purchase a “share” of a farm’s harvest at the start of the season. In return, you receive regular deliveries or pick-ups of fresh, seasonal food straight from Idaho producers.
CSA subscriptions vary across Idaho, offering everything from farm-fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs to pasture-raised meats, eggs, honey, dairy, and artisan goods. Many farmers also share recipes, farm updates, and behind-the-scenes insights into their growing practices, giving you a deeper connection to the food on your table.
